Expert Mode

BARAM recreates various configuration files required for calculation when the Initialize or Start Calculation button is executed. Therefore, you cannot add or modify files in the case folder to perform calculations using features not supported by BARAM.

Expert Mode provides an option to calculate using user-modified files without recreating various configuration files. This feature allows you to utilize various OpenFOAM functions not yet supported by BARAM.\

Switching to Expert Mode

Select Help – About from the menu to open the About dialog. In this state, press the \textit{ilovebaram} keys in sequence on the keyboard to switch to Expert Mode.

Functions of Expert mode

In Expert Mode, a ‘Run Solver Only’ option appears on the Run page. Enabling this option runs only the solver without updating the dictionary of the existing file when you execute Start Run.

The External Tools menu now includes a submenu called Terminal. Running this opens a terminal with the OpenFOAM environment set up in the current folder. From this terminal, you can run various utilities supported by OpenFOAM.
