Inlet not spawning Volume Fraction
Quote from Yash R on May 13, 2026, 2:58 pmHello there,
I was having an issue with my calculation where even though the Volume fraction is set to 1, there is no Fluid volume fractions spawning at the inlet (Post processor time lapse). I have attached a screenshot of the boundary condition set at inlet and a screenshot of the inlet highlighted in the mesh.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Looking at the video you sent, I see that for the “alpha.SlurryLiquid” field in the ‘Coloring’ section, “Cell Value” is selected instead of “Node Value.” This means that the cell value at the boundary is not 1. If you plot the node value, the inlet value should be 1.
In paraview, check 'Create cell-to-point filtered data' option and select node value.

Thanks for your response. However, even with the cell value being used (as seen in the screenshot), while the value of alpha.SlurryLiquid is 1, the slurry itself isn't being injected into the system and isn't spawning in. I want the fluid volume to flow through the system which isn't occurring, could you kindly assist with this?
Thanks and kind regards,
Yash Randad
