New Features
- Pasquill class B.C. : Boundary conditions capable of simulating differences in material diffusion based on atmospheric stability have been added. Six grades based on the Pasquill class can now be assigned to the existing ABL Inlet condition.
- Expert mode : An Expert Mode feature has been added, enabling users to run the solver using a dictionary they have edited themselves. This allows access to many OpenFOAM features not yet supported by BARAM.
- Real time simulator enhancement : Sampling conditions for generating real-time simulators (ROMs) previously required loading csv or xlsx files. BARAM can now generate these directly using LHS, Sobol, or Full factorial methods. A feature has been added to automatically add sample conditions at the highest uncertainty locations using Gaussian Process Regression. Cross-validation functionality has also been added, automatically comparing CFD results with ROM results for the added conditions, significantly improving the convenience of real-time simulator creation.
- Copy cell zone condition : When dealing with a large number of cell zones, such as in data centers or cleanrooms, cell zone conditions can now be copied to set conditions for many cell zones at once.
- Celsius temperature : A function to generate a Celsius temperature field has been added, allowing calculation results to be viewed in Celsius.
- Monitoring data export : Monitoring data can now be exported in spreadsheet format for easy use in programs like Excel.
- Collateral field monitoring : Collateral fields such as heat transfer coefficient, heat flux, and age can now be monitored.
- New material DM format : Several new material properties have been added, resulting in a change to the material property database format.
- Colormap legend format change : When viewing results in Graphics, distinguishing small differences was sometimes difficult due to the limited number of significant figure in the Colormap legend. This issue has been resolved by increasing the number of significant digits.
- Particle simulation : A Discrete Phase Model (DPM) for inert particles has been added. At the request of the sponsoring client, it will not be publicly released until the end of this year and may be provided on a limited basis to those who require it.
- Geometry transform : [baramMesh] Imported STL files can now be scaled, moved, and rotated.
- Auto launch baramFlow : [baramMesh] An option has been added to run baramFlow when exporting after mesh generation and to load that mesh.
- Single step meshing: [baramMesh] An option has been added to generate the mesh from the castellation to the boundary layer in a single step.
Bug Fixes
- The bug where the residual graph was not displayed when not solving the energy equation in multi-region problems has been fixed.
- The issue where the GUI would crash abnormally when opening the Run page in batch run mode while an invalid folder existed in the batch folder has been resolved.
- Fixed a bug where selecting the magnitude or component of a field value in monitoring or reports for multi-region problems did not display the value.
- Fixed a bug occurring when clicking the OK button in the JANAF dialog while setting material properties.
- Fixed a bug occurring when deleting a project list in the Launcher.
- Fixed a bug where coupled boundaries did not load when opening the fan boundary condition settings window.
- [baramMesh] Fixed an issue where added geometry sometimes did not appear in the castellation surface refinement.
- [baramMesh] Fixed a case where clicking the unlock button in baramMesh sometimes caused a permission error.
